Online Safety
At St Cuthbert and The First Martyrs' School, we promote the safe use of technology. We aim to equip the children with the knowledge and confidence to keep themselves safe online and when using a range of devices both at home and in school.
We also regularly hold online safety meetings for parents and strongly urge you to attend. As a school we offer advice and support to parents if they have any questions or concerns and work closely with our local Police to ensure the messages we share are relevant and up to date.
Online-safety Links
We have put together a list of useful e-safety websites for pupils and parents:
http://www.saferinternet.org.uk/ (UK Safer Internet Centre)
https://www.commonsensemedia.org/ (A great website for checking the content of games, films, etc. and evaluating their suitability)
http://www.esafety-adviser.com/ (E-Safety Training and Advice)
https://www.internetmatters.org/ (Help for parents keeping their children safe online)
Parent Zone have also created a new online parenting programme Parenting in the Digital Age. Through our school subscription, the website are offering FREE online training modules to parents, which can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
Below you will find a handy guide with a comparison of safety and wellbeing tools for TikTok, Roblox, Snapchat and more. This can help your children navigate the digital world safely and with confidence. The information is taken from E-Safety Adviser website. If you click through the link you can sign up to their weekly newsletter.
